Swedish Massage

Developed in the 1800s, this popular massage technique improves circulation and relaxes muscles through use of circular palm strokes, kneading, and tapping. It is recommended for those new to receiving massage therapy because it is used to gently release tension in muscles closest to the skin’s surface.

Deep Tissue Massage

This massage technique can bring relief to those who suffer from chronic pain and muscle tension. By using slow, firm strokes to loosen the deepest layers of muscle and connective tissue, deep tissue massage has physician-approved medical effects (such as the reduction of inflammation and blood pressure).

Sports Massage

Utilizing traditional massage techniques, range-of-motion exercises, and stretching, this massage is designed to care for the unique needs of athletes. Sports massage can be used for sports injury rehabilitation and recovery, or as a prophylactic treatment for pre-events and post-events.

Myofascial Release

By focusing on trigger points to alleviate “straightjacket” tension on muscles, myofascial release massage treats a variety of conditions (such as migraines, fibromyalgia and carpal tunnel syndrome).

Prenatal Massage

Pregnancy can cause a variety of physiological changes to women during its course, including sciatic nerve pain (which causes lower back and leg pain), joint swelling, depression and anxiety. Prenatal massage can substantially reduce these conditions. This massage technique is performed on clients in their second and third trimester who do not have pregnancy complications. Pregnant clients who receive in our prenatal massage are positioned in a side-lying position.

Special Massage Treatments

Hot Stone Massage

60 minute massage/$100.00
90 minute massage/$120.00

Derived from Native American healing techniques, hot stone massage is used to relax and help warm up tight muscles so that the therapist can work on body tissues more deeply. The massage therapist either places water-heat, smooth hot stones on specific trigger points of the body (for example, down the length of the spine on both sides), or uses the hot stones as an extension of their hands. Clients with medical conditions that may respond negatively to heat and pressure (such as hypertension and varicose veins) should consult their physician prior to having this type of massage performed.

Reflexology Massage

60 minute massage/$80.00

90 minute masssage/$100.00

This massage technique focuses on relieving pressure on the feet, hands, and ears, which has connections to nerves and organs throughout your body. Reflexology massage reduces pain, anxiety, depression and promotes good sleep.

Thai Massage
